What's your decision? 4

by Umpire Head

HI everyone!

Well I've got to admit I'm feeling a bit yucky today.

And it's not just because I got smashed into by the full body of a footballer a few weeks ago. And it still does hurt in case you were wondering. My best friend Darren says it's probably aftershock.

Like you know in those countries where they have an earthquake and then a few days later there's an aftershock and everything falls down again. Well it's like that for me. It's probably not quite enough to knock a whole city down but I do get a bit of a headache and have to have a lie down.

But that's not why I'm still feeling a bit yucky.

The reason is that last week I had to go to Subiaco Oval and umpire against the Dockers. And that dirty player Adrian Flencher. I don't want to go into it too much but I had to watch out for myself all afternoon.

Every time I had the ball that Flotcher would be looking at me like he wanted it and like he was prepared to whack his whole body into me so he could get it.

I mean what's that guy's problem? Darren says Flatcher needs to get a life.

Anyway thanks to all of my readers and fans who sent in entries to last week's What's Your Decision competition. Darren says I might have to put a girl on to deal with my mail soon.

Anyway in that incident I gave a free kick against player Thornton for prior opportunity.

No one actually got the right answer but some of you were close - just shows how hard umpiring is, doesn't it? And this week's winner is MASTER S MCINERNEY of Ballarat. Congratulations, there's an action photograph of me heading your way.

This week's What's Your Decision will really test you and show you just how hard umpiring can be. But you'll see the umpire (me) is in the perfect position to make the right decision.

Get your entries in by next week and I'll see you then.

That's all folks.
