A little analysis
|
by LES EVERETT THE club fairest & best placings we've published have thrown up the names of 51 players who have had good seasons.
Let's subject the list to some in-depth analysis.
49% originate from Victoria. 22% South Australian. 16% Western Australia. 6% Tasmania. 6% Queensland & 2% New South Wales. That adds up to 101% because of rounding up but may reflect what these champs put in during the year.
62.5% of fairest & best winners originate from Victoria. 12.5% from SA. 12.5% WA. 6.25% Tas. 6.25% Qld. That adds up to 100%.
43% are aged between 24 and 27 (age as of end of 2002). 14% are 30 or older and 12% are 21 or younger.
29% come out of the TAC Cup 18s competition.
18% have played for another club. North Melbourne has supplied the most fairest and best place getters to other clubs - three.
14% were chosen in the top 10 at a national draft.
That was interesting wasn't it.
