Spinks on fire
|
AFTER two weeks of Ongerup Football Association finals, it is down to three sides with Jerramungup winning last Saturday's second semi over Boxwood Hills to advance through to the grand final.
Jerramungup held sway all day over a gritty Boxwood Hill, who could not contain former AFL listed players Jason Spinks, who was best on ground, and his cousin Brett Spinks who booted five goals.
The previous week 2001 premiers Kent outclassed a tired looking Gnowangerup by more than 10 goals in the first semi final.
This Saturday the clash between Boxwood and Kent at Newdegate should be a top class affair as both sides are fleet of foot and use the ball well.
Kent with a week's rest come into the game near on full strength and with the experience of Clint Dolan, Tim Clegg and Barry Jolley will make things tough for the young Boxwood side.
Former Geelong player Trevor Harris who recently won the OFA Ganzer Medal fairest & best, and team mates Aaron Davis and Harvey Lynch will need to be at their top to stop a Kent side who appear to be peaking at the right time.
