A tale of Woe

by MICHAEL STEVEN

WOE IS ME shame and scandal in the family.

What is happening? More than a $1million loss in one year and selling their favourite son to the enemy.

Can it mean that this is merely the first step in rationalising the number of teams in the comp. Just imagine two double arches - one black and one white. Are the Melbourne Magpies a real possibility? After all the supporters at Demon land have voted their club out of existence in the past!

Join with the strength. Think of the branding opportunities. After all who wants to follow a team with the devil as its emblem. It is a Christian image I suppose but it is still the devil.

Just imagine. M&M have a real reason to sponsor footy. I'm not trying to be a smartie but what's wrong with a licorice M and a vanilla M. Black and white = Melbourne Magpies

And think of the fashion industry. Sometimes there is blue, sometimes there is red but always black and white is in fashion. Do it now before a team is fielded in the Antarctic. That will at least take the fire out of the devil's belly. But what value is there in being a MCG member if your team is playing elsewhere - be it the Antarctic or Princes Park! The Magpie Collingwood Ground is the home ground of Melbourne's most famous club remember!!!

Do a Woey. Get with the strength!

Go Pies...
