New trick for old Dog

in round 23 South Fremantle is gearing up for a WAFL finals campaign.

Bulldogs legend Marty Atkins said the club was disappointed about missing the
last two finals series and excited about Sunday's first semi final meeting with
Swan Districts.
After spending 15 years with the police force Atkins
became the football manager at the Bulldogs this season.
He said starting
a new job at the club where he played a record 266 games was a welcome
change.
"I know the environment and culture of the club pretty well, so
it's been an easy transition for me," he said.
Atkins, whose role
involves looking after the players and match day preparations, said: "everyone
is really enthusiastic about playing finals footy, coach John Dimmer has brought
a new style of game into play and we are all excited about it."
The WAFL
finals kick off on Sunday at Subiaco Oval with the first semi final between South
Fremantle and Swan Districts at 11.10am followed by the second semi featuring
Subiaco and Claremont at 2.15pm.
