Dockers on the radio
|
by LES EVERETT WHEN Fremantle supporters Jarrod Chipperfield, Simon Harvey and Don Parnell heard
Sport FM 90.5 was looking for presenters for shows devoted to AFL teams they
jumped at the chance.
Freo heave ho: Docker DJs Simon Harvey, Jarrod Chipperfield & Don Parnell.
"It came about after a bit of footy talk at a barbecue,"
Chipperfield said, "I approached Colin Minson at Sport FM and he said
if we could get our own sponsorship we could have a show."
The Fremantle footy
show goes to air for half an hour from 10am on Sundays.
The trio is determined to
present an irreverent but positive look at the Dockers.
"We're not going to
berating the players or calling for the board to be sacked after every loss,"
Chipperfield said. "We want a passionate fan-based program that finds the middle
ground between the sterile stuff and negativity."
The show will go to air for the
fourth time this Sunday on 90.5 on the FM band from 10am.
