A WAFL update
|
THREE delisted AFL players have been in the news.
Fremantle's Dion Woods has signed a three year contract with Perth where
he has played all his WAFL football.
Brownlow Medal winner Shane
Woewodin has been chased by just about everyone but the tip is that he'll go back
to East Fremantle.
And Daniel Bandy has decided to join Claremont under
former Fremantle team mate Ashley Prescott. Bandy played his WAFL football with
Perth.
New Perth coach Simon Eastaugh was not impressed.
In a
press release he said: "I feel betrayed that Daniel has gone behind our backs and
done this. I've been in contact with him for two months and he never once mentioned
going to Claremont.
"We have listened to and tried to accommodate his each and every need, but obviously
Daniel was not as genuine as I thought, and he has really shown his colours."
Bandy's first game back at Lathlain Park next year will be interesting.
