Are you crafty?

by LES EVERETT

LAST year more than 5000 people attended Fremantle Art Centre's Bazaar making it the most important event in FAC's crowded calendar.

Bazaar 2006 is to be held from December 1 to 3 and craft producers are invited to apply for stalls. A panel will meet on August 10 to select the successful applicants. The organisers will be looking for quality products and for a balance of what is on offer including fashion, jewellery and a variety of other high quality crafts.

Bazaar 2006 will open with a Friday night special for FAC members before opening over the weekend for the general public.

There will be plenty on offer for those who like to dine while they shop while cellist Mel Robinson and some of her musical friends will entertain the crowd on the Sunday afternoon.

Co-ordinator Pete Stone told the Herald that Bazaar was a must for his family: "We find Bazaar is a peaceful way to do our Christmas shopping and it's nice to know you're buying from the people who have made the item."

All items at Bazaar 2006 must be made in Western Australia.

Applications from craft producers are open until July 31. Call Pete Stone on 08 9432 9586.
