CASE was the drummer in a series of punk bands and still sings in the Canadian outfit The New Pornographers.

It would be hard to pigeonhole what's she's done here. There's evidence of a strong country sensibility, some olde English folk in some of the subject matter and a storytelling quality to the songs but they're also ambiguous and full of a nice kind of mystery.
