Footy conference

THE Footy 150 Years Conference will be held in the Victoria University Conference Centre on Tuesday 15 July.

One of the highlights will be a community football heritage forum,. The aim of the forum is to assist club and league officials to learn more about preserving, recording and presenting their club's history. The organisers have assembled a line up of experts in relevant areas to speak at the forum about these issues. Catering is provided on the day and participants will also have a chance to speak with the experts.

There will also be a panel titled The Game is Not the Same to be moderated by Gerard Whately and featuring David Parkin, Brendon Gale, June Senyard (University of Melbourne) and Lionel Frost (Monash University).

The conference is open to the general public and is free although it is essential that those intending to attend RSVP as per the instructions on the flier. Bookings should be directed to Footy 150 Years bookings.

For more information go to Uni Melbourne.
