Round 10 NAB AFL Rising Star nominee...
IT wasn't long ago that things weren't looking good for Adelaide. They were losing games at home and they lost an away game there in the Showdown too.
There were no signs of panic from Neil Craig. He'd changed the plan, he said. Watch this space.
In round nine they thumped the Blues, Fab Four and all. Last week they crushed the premiers. In both games it was all over by half time.
Something else has been happening too. Evidence of very nice work from the Crow recruiters. The round 10 nominee for the NAB AFL Rising Star award in forward Taylor Walker, who kicked five goals against Hawthorn in the first half.
Walker made his debut in round round and has played all 10 game this year for 20 goals. He announced himself in round three with four goals against Fremantle.
Walker was picked up in the 2007 draft as a NSW/ACT Scholarship player. Last year he played for Norwood in the SANFL and kicked 56 goals.
He's the third Rising Star nominee from the Crows in 2009 following on from Patrick Dangerfield in round three and Andy Otten in round nine.
