WAFL round 14...

IT didn't rain but conditions were still horrible at East Fremantle with a strong cross-breeze. The visitors adapted best after kicking just one point in the first quarter to win by 49 points. Andrew Merrington kicked five goals for East Perth, defenders Brendan Hancock, Trevor Oliver and Ben Stratton were impressive and Craig Wulff had another good game. East Fremantle 4.12 (36) East Perth 12.13 (85).
Top team Subiaco thrashed Peel at Leederville. Blake Broadhurst kicked six goals and Dennis Trent-Lane got five. Subiaco 26.14 (170) Peel 9.9 (63).
West Perth led by 22 points at three quarter time but failed to score in the last quarter at Claremont and the bottom team got up. Claremont 12.11 (83) West Perth 10.9 (69).
South Fremantle had an easy win at Lathlain Park. Perth 10.10 (70) South Fremantle 16.13 (109).
