AFL round 22... the summary...
IT'S all a bit old news but anyway here's the summary of round 22 when we said farewell to some players who were chaired off, some who didn't realise we were saying goodbye and eight teams who were gaining the vital early poke at pre-seaon training.
Win-at-will west Coast crushed the silly Tigers.
West Coast 17.23 (125) Richmond 6.9 (45)
Surely it's time for Kardinia Park to be put out to pasture an an AFL venue.
Geelong 14.10 (94) Fremantle 8.6 (54)
It was all whack and whinge as the Bombers and Hawks fought it out for eighth spot.
Essendon 16.20 (116) Hawthorn 14.15 (99)
Adelaide came to town and went to town on the Blues.
Carlton 16.8 (104) Adelaide 27.14 (176)
The Swans almost said goodbye in the perfect way to three club rippers.
Sydney 14.8 (92) Brisbane 15.10 (100)
A dumb 50 metre penalty might have sealed it but the result of the Roos-Power game was definitely just.
North Melbourne 10.11 (71) Port Adelaide 9.13 (67)
The Dees had a few people worried early – many of them Melbourne supporters – but Nick Riewoldt stepped up to ensure the hoped for result.
St Kilda 17.12 (114) Melbourne 10.7 (67)
The Bulldogs snuck into third place with a win that showcased run and stun and Adam Cooney.
Western Bulldogs 14.16 (100) Collingwood 10.16 (76)
